"Good for testing, but production has been a headache"
We started using Twilio thinking it would be a straightforward setup, and to be fair, when everything is working, it does the job just fine. The trouble started once we got deeper into webhooks and callbacks. At first, we thought delays were something on our end, so we spent a bunch of time digging through logs and chasing weird edge cases. Then we realized some callbacks were showing up late, and a few didn’t seem to arrive at all. That made debugging way more painful than expected. Support did respond, which I appreciate, but the answers weren’t always helpful enough to actually move things forward. For quick tests or basic use, Twilio is fine. But after dealing with the callback issues, I don’t feel totally comfortable trusting it for anything important in production.

"I’m still waiting for someone to actually help..."
I’m still waiting for someone to actually help me. I’ve spent way too much time and energy trying to get a response, and it feels like nobody is even paying attention.

"It works fine most of the…"
It works fine most of the time, so I can’t really complain too much. But when I’m already in a hurry or just not in the mood to dig around, the dashboard feels way too cluttered. Sometimes I just want to change a simple setting and end up clicking around longer than I should
"Felt Limited and Support Was Too Robotic"
Twilio was okay for the basics, but feature-wise it felt limited for what we needed. If you’re just doing simple messaging, it might be fine, but once we wanted more built-in tools, it got frustrating quickly. It felt like every little thing needed extra setup, another add-on, or a separate service. For the price, I expected more to be included. Also, when we reached out by email, the replies felt like they were written by robots instead of real people, which made the whole experience even more annoying

"Solid Messaging Tool for Day-to-Day Use"
I’ve been using Twilio for my team’s SMS and WhatsApp messages, and overall it’s been reliable. It was a little confusing at first getting some of the settings right, but the support docs helped me work through it. It’s not flawless, but for the kind of daily customer communication we rely on, it does the job well.

"Twilio Call Quality Was... Fine, I Guess"
I used Twilio for calls and the quality was mostly okay. Some calls were clear, others had random lag or weird audio drops because apparently consistent call quality is too much to ask for. It worked, but I wouldn’t exactly call it flawless.
"Unexpected charges caught me off guard"
I noticed some charges show up that I really wasn’t expecting, and from my point of view, the warning or explanation beforehand wasn’t very clear. Maybe it was mentioned somewhere in the fine print, but as a regular customer, it didn’t feel obvious enough. I would’ve appreciated a more upfront heads-up before anything was billed

"Pretty smooth overall"
I made my account and got through the verification without too much hassle. There was one step where I had to wait a bit, which was a little annoying, but... it ended up working fine. Not a perfect experience, but good overall.

"A Quick Fix"
The issue was sorted out fairly quickly, which I appreciated. It wasn’t anything overly impressive, but it got the job done without much hassle, so I’m happy enough with the experience

"Some Places Just Don’t Seem to Work Well"
I don’t know if it’s just me, but some countries really feel like things just don’t run smoothly. Maybe other people have had better experiences, but I found myself constantly dealing with little problems that made everything more frustrating than it needed to be. Has anyone else felt this way?

"Surprisingly Kept Up With Us"
We’ve grown quite a bit, i was expecting at least a few problems because that’s usually how these things go. But to their credit, everything handled the increase without any real issues. Nice when something actually works the way it’s supposed to.

"Fraud checks that actually helped"
A friend recommended this to me, and I’m glad I listened. The fraud checks ended up saving us from some real headaches and gave us a lot more peace of mind

"I tried using Twilio for a…"
I tried using Twilio for a dev project and kept running into weird errors. Maybe some of it was on my setup, I’m not totally sure, but the docs didn’t seem to line up with what was actually happening. Support took a while too, so it ended up being more frustrating than I expected.

"The docs were helpful, and they…"
The docs were helpful, and they did point me in the right direction. But even with that, the integration still took way too long. Like, way longer than I expected. I got it done eventually, but it definitely wasn’t as smooth as I hoped

"Pretty Good Delivery Experience"
Delivery has been good so far. My family and I have ordered a few times, and everything usually shows up without any issues

"Messages Don’t Always Go Through"
So... I’ve been dealing with way too many outages, and sometimes my messages just won’t send at all. It’s frustrating, especially when I’m trying to have a normal conversation and things just stop working.

"Solid overall, though I still keep an eye on quality"
We’ve been using Twilio for messaging and auth flows, security is one of the main reasons we’ve stuck with it. The compliance docs were easy to find, so our team didn’t have to go back and forth with support just to get basic SOC 2 or GDPR info, which made the vendor review a lot less painful. Setup was smooth for the most part, and it generally feels dependable rather than sketchy with customer data. That said, I do still wonder sometimes about consistency and long-term quality, since no platform is perfect, but so far it’s been a solid choice for us.

"Pretty happy with SendGrid overall"
We’ve been using Twilio SendGrid for our email sends, it’s been a solid experience. On the good days, I’m really glad we have it because deliverability has been strong and getting things set up wasn’t too painful. Every now and then, the dashboard puts me in a bit of a grumpy mood because it can feel slow or not super intuitive, but overall it gets the job done well for us.

"Got up and running quickly"
Twilio’s docs made it easy to get set up faster than I expected. A couple parts had me rereading things more than once, but overall they got the job done
